Day 11

Today was a day of rest and relaxation at Kariega Game Reserve. After a morning game drive in which we got to within s few metres of a group of elephants, we had a couple of hours to relax before lunch. Afterwards we headed out into the wild for another game drive with the promise of tracking down some of the reserve's lions. We were in luck as we were able to see all of the pride in one place: three females and two magnificent males. The impala were getting twitchy but the lions can't have been hungry. We then saw a second group of elephants, baby in tow, before a drinks stop on top of a ridge overlooking the reserve. The boys will have memories to last a lifetime as they head to Port Elizabeth for the final part of their rugby tour tomorrow.
